My Love Story...

I am a lucky girl to be engaged to Zachary Marx.  He proposed to me on Friday August 2 and I said yes!
How we met: I honestly do not remember the first time I met Zach.  He was attending the Air Force Academy and I was in my first transfer as a missionary.  We did not interact much while I was a missionary.  The second time I do remember.  I came back to visit my mission after having been home for 3 months.  The ward I had served in was having a Fire and Ice dance.  I was so excited to see the converts and members that I had worked with.  A mutual friend of both Zach and I introduced us again.  I knew that I liked Zach right away, but did not think much of it because we lived so far apart.  But sure enough by the end of the evening we had exchanged phone numbers.
How we fell in love: I fell in love with Zachie gradually.  We have so many fun memories together and Zach is just so good it was bound to happen.
            Some of my Favorite Memories:
·      Our First Date: Roller Skating
·      Going for little runs
·      Zach made the best Italian Lasagna
·      Our first Kiss: He was leaving to go back to Colorado and stopped to visit me at work.  It was the first time I’d ever been asked for a kiss.
·      Ring Dance weekend
·      Cleaning my families boat
·      Stewart Falls
·      4th of July fireworks
·      Disneyland with Zach’s family
·      Dodgers game
·      Riding in the Car as we drove back to Utah from California overnight
·      So so much more
How he proposed: Friday night before his summer leave ended Zach told me we were going to go on a hike.  I got all ready for a hike not expecting a thing.  When he showed up to pick me up he was dressed up nice and had bought me beautiful flowers.  I really should have picked up on something right then.  We went and had a nice dinner at Macaroni Grill.  Then we headed up the canyon to find a good place to watch the sunset.  After a fun little walk up a trail, through a daisy field and almost to the top of a mountain, we found the perfect spot.  Of course, I had to take pictures especially since Zach had suggested I bring my camera.  Then we were sitting and chatting when out of nowhere Zach froze and got all nervous.  It was real cute.  I still had no idea what was going on, until I felt his heart beating so hard.  Zach then started talking about how he wanted to be with me for a real long time.  Next thing I knew he was on his knee.  He said “Janessa Kenney, will you marry me?”  Of course I said yes.
